Finding True Love

Are you asking... How do I go about finding true love? or maybe... What is True Love?

We all know the fairy tales from our childhood. We have all seen how much people are in love on TV. You probably know a couple in love.

Love seems so wonderful… but why are so many people - or should I say most people - not Finding True Love in their life?

Because they didn’t start with I-Love-Dating's website!! LOL - no just kidding.

Seriously though… in today’s world there are so many stresses - we tend to feel having someone (even if we know it’s the wrong person) is better than being alone. Or we choose someone using those stupid Love Myths. Then we end up breaking up or going thru a divorce. And the process starts all over with the first one that catches our eye or sparks that chemistry…just to be disappointed again.

So how do you break this cycle? Well for starters… you need to think what you want in a partner. What is important to YOU? Think back at past relationships - write down what you liked or miss. Then write down what you didn’t like and what you don’t miss. If you’ve never had a relationship - look at your friends - your parents or grandparents - make your list from what you have observed.

Now when looking for that special someone... don’t settle for just anyone. Stick to what's on your list - remember what is important to YOU - also keep in mind - love is a two way street. You have to be a person that someone else wants to love and be with.

And please don’t fool yourself… There are no perfect people!! And there IS no "perfect" love. True Love is give and take - ups and downs - good and bad and quite frankly… quite a hard job!

Some people might say finding true love happens several times in a lifetime - others might say only once - and there are some that say never. I say… it depends how open your heart is and how smart you are in choosing a partner.

Are you willing to open your heart and let another in? Are you willing to work at finding the right one?

So if you want to adventure into the world of dating… gather your thoughts - make a list of want’s and don’t want’s (either in your mind or on paper… me - I have to write every thing down!!) And start with an open heart - open mind and ask those questions that you really want to know. But most of all - have fun!♥
